Artist's Statement

Patience is not my forte except when I work in metals. It sooths me! And makes me content. I especially like to do married metals; i.e. to combine different colors of metal, which have to be soldered and then become my inspiration for a piece.

My inspirations come form many sources--nature, sculpture, fabric, colored stones, found objects (rocks, beach glass, coral, etc.) -- sometimes my designs and ideas stem from a dream ( I actually see a finished piece.).  I don't often sketch but instead play with the metal and stones until I arrive at what seems to be a satisfactory solution.

All my work is handmade one-of-a-kind: I also love doing custom work with your stones: necklaces , rings, etc.

My second passion (after working in my studio) is traveling to exotic lands.
